INT. CHERRY RED BENTLEY, BACKSEAT -- NIGHT.

It’s pissing rain in buckets outside. A chauffeur in a black
overcoat ushers a wet young woman into the back seat of a
Cherry Red, 1952 Bentley. She settles her soaking wet body
into the white leather seat. The door closes.

A woman in silhouette sits in front of her, she is as still
as a gargoyle statue.

Then a silver zippo lighter with the emblem of a California
Mountain snake washes out the murk to reveal the aged face
of Elle Driver, her eyes covered in white glasses, with dark
frames.

She smirks as she lights up her cigarette.

                    ELLE DRIVER
          How long has it been my sweet,
          little Nikki, since you last saw
          her face...? Ten. Ten years - since
          the killing of your precious
          mother.

INT. VERNITA’S HOME -- NIGHT.

Little Nikki sees Bea’s SOG knife being pulled out of
Vernita’s chest.

She is blinded by a silvery flash. She falls and tumbles on

Elle’s eye is plucked out in Budd’s beat to shit trailer

Another competition - here I come

I found some of literary and design contests in which
I decided to take a part. Because I'm so talented person - I can write as well as draw. False modesty
is meaningless.

For example: Once, I gave my parents a charcoal drawing for their name-day and they told me:
We don't believe you did it.

Well, there is nothing more important thing than parents' believe in their child...

I'm satisfied with partial victory

Today is a day, when my boss said about the woman which I have met yesterday: Well, maybe she isn't as clever and brilliant as I thought about her before.

I met today a woman, who probably think she's the best ever. Well, only probably. What a stupid jade!

She said: I had won every possible prizes in ad contests, I have over 12 years experience in advertising and I known the best what we have to do.
She had criticised all our (mine and my art's) ideas and said: you are youngsters, not-experience and don't know what are you talking about.

We will see, who don't know what to do.

It's going to rain inside the agency.

Doesn't matter I was at school in the weekend and couldn't sleep so long I wanted to.

Sun is shining, I'm full of energy and wondering what else I can do today.
The plan is to write another chapter of my book or piece of screenplays.

Friday night fever

I was at party. That was a party of Alfa Romeo. Invitations to fancy parties, it's one of the benefit
of being a journalist.

Even though I was tired after whole working week,
I mustered up, put on a little black dress and gone.

On the spot I saw plenty of alcohol and polish celebrities. It was quite interesting mix. I saw in real, faces which you may know from the TV screen. Not only those people but also theirs young lowers. Sorrowful view. Many of them have given me their visit cards and said: call me. I got a bunch of visit cards of directors, managers or just bosses. Without comment.

To sum up:
I drank pretty too much and remember not much.

With what do you associate perfume?

I'm preparing now an ad for the perfume.

I created about 5 innovative lines and I was just wondering why all fragrances are associated with relationship between boy&girl.
I suggested something different and we'll see what further.

BTW. When I was looking for an inspiration I saw the last ad of DKNY. To be honest - it's such a crap!
I really don't understand the phenomenon of Anja Rubik cause she is so ugly.
Maybe in our society, an enough reason to be famous is beeing so skinny.

When I have told this sentence to my friends,
they stared at me like I am an alien and asked
if I was a sales representative.

I strongly recommend to do the next social campaign
about society awareness about the role and function
of the advertising industry.

Impressions after a first day in the new job

The first day passed very quickly, as usual.
New people, new cases, new clients.
One brief after another. Life goes on.

I'm quite glad. This new place is definitely better than the previous one.
Here a creation team is the most important department in an ad agency.
Accounts - don't forget about it!

I Have a job and won a pitch

Well, after three days of Mind Control Course, I have been offered two jobs and won the pitch in one day
(I love Mondays :)
Tell me than, you have no control over your life...

In the conclusion:
I have the job but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking for a job in the USA.

Copywriter and Mind Control

Pitch

I had a job interview today. But not alone. With mine Art Director (also laid off).

Well... I was looking for a job since December and ... nothing.
When we sent our CV&folios together, agencies reply us at once.

Conclusion?
Nowadays, ads agencies look for creative teams, not single person.

We have to create 2 lines for difficult and weird pitch till Monday. Then, we'll see.
But it's another kettle of fish. I'll write about it the next time.

I do like making and thinking about social ads.

I also like watching it, when it's with the strong idea, just like this one.

A little bit of culture

Some time ago I wrote an email to the Creative Director from the ads agency in the USA.
I asked him about career opportunities for foreign people.

After just a few seconds(!) he answered me:

Hi,

Ad agencies in the US have always been open to hiring foreign creatives. However, I will tell you that it is easier for foreign art directors and designers to crack the market than copywriters. Obviously, to be a copywriter in the states you must has a good command of the English (or Spanish) language.

If you are fluent in speaking and writing in English or Spanish, you just need good work to get a good job.

As far as working at an American agency, I suspect it's just like anywhere else. When it's good, it's very good; when it's bad it's very bad.

Stop fighting with yourself

I wrote the very next chapter of my book, and I'm so proud of myself.

I’m wasting my time for nothing.

After the next sleepless night, I woke up about 12 pm. Now hours go by so slowly.
I know I should write something but I can’t pull myself together :(
Yesterday I thought that I have to do sth with myself to take control of my miserable life. That’s why I decided to go on a diet. Goodbye carbohydrates!

The strategy for the evening and the night: make a new strategy of myself.

The chance

I had a job interview today. The agency was nice. I think it went good and general impressions was OK.

In the end of the meeting they told me: If the answer will be – yes -, we will call you; if - no – we will send you an email. So ... I’m looking forward to HEARING from them.
